Myshirtone – Easily distracted by cats and music shirt

 The morning after the reading, I found Jerry waiting for me in the big spacious common area. He told me that I’d left my Nalgene in rehearsal and he’d taken it upstairs to his room. I should come pick it up. When I hesitated, he added that he’d found a script of mine lying around the common room, a one-act play, and had read it. It had struck him, he said, and he’d be interested to talk some more about it. Anyway, I should stop by before he left.

While I hadn’t trusted Jerry in the early days of his arrival, I reminded myself that he was now the man who had been in that rehearsal room for the past week. He was a real artist and he was talking to me like I was one too. And so later that day, I climbed the stairs to the top floor.
